"Sir Colin Mackenzie, Baronet [S. 1673], of Coul, br. of the whole blood and h. male; b. 1674; admitted as Advocate [S.], 8 Feb. 1701; Clerk to the Pipe in the Exchequer [S.] till death ; suc. under the entail of 1702 to the family estate on the death of his brother, when he assumed the Baronetcy also. He m., June 1705, Henrietta, widow of Andrew Brown, of Braid, da. of Sir Patrick Houston, 1st Baronet [S. 1668], by Anne, da. of John (Hamilton), 1st Lord Bargeny [S.]. He d. Oct. 1740, in his 67th year."
