Biographical Summary

"Sir David Moncreiffe, Baronet [S. 1685], of Moncreiffe, only s. and h., b. 31 Dec. 1788 ; suc. to the Baronetcy, 26 March 1818. He m. 12 Jan. 1819, Helen, 2d da. of Æneas Mackay, of Scotstown, co. Peebles. He d. 20 Nov. 1830, at Moncreiffe House, aged 41. His widow m. (as his 2d wife) 30 Oct. 1849, at St. Peter's, Pimlico, George Angustus Frederick Henry (Bridgeman), 6th Earl of Bradford (who d. 22 March 1865, in his 76th year) and d. at Cannes, 22 April 1869."
