• In the Indian Civil Service between 1901 and 1916.
• Invested as a Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1919.
• Succeeded to the title of 9th Baronet Fletcher, of Newcastle-under-Lyne and Betley Court, co. Stafford [G.B., 1798] on 6 March 1927.
