10th Baronet Croft. Captain, 1st Battalion, Herefordshire Regiment. Sir Herbert is also commemorated on Panel 198 of the Helles Memorial at Gallipoli, where he was killed in action.

He was the son of Sir Herbert George Denman Croft, 9th Bt. and Georgiana Eliza Lucy Marsh.

He married, firstly, Kathleen Hare, daughter of John Hare, on 20 June 1892.
