About Sir John Bromley, Kt.
According to Ian Bromley in his book Bromley: A Midlands Family History, pp. 40-42, Sir John Bromley is "recognized as one of England's greatest heroes during the reign of Henry V." He was one of the warriors distinguished in the French expedition and was at the battle of Corbie on 17 Oct 1415. Sir John Bromely was wounded in a battle to take Caudebec on the Seine in France. He died of his wounds on 4 Sept 1419.
