...Curzon, whose family owned large estates in Derbyshire and had represented the county since the fourteenth century, was returned for it unopposed in 1715. A Tory and a member of the October Club, from 1715 he voted against the Administration in every recorded division. He died 6 Aug. 1727, before the general election."
