5th Baronet of St Michael's Mount, Cornwall
Biographical Summary
Sir John Saint Aubyn, Baronet [1671], of Clowance aforesaid, only s. and h., b. 17 May 1758, in Golden square, and bap. the same day at St. James', Westm.; suc. to the Baronetcy, 12 Oct. 1772; Sheriff of Cornwall, 1781-82; M.P. for Truro, Feb. to March 1784; for Penrhyn, 1784-90; and for Helston, 1807-12 ; F.R.S., F.S.A., etc. He m. 1 July 1822 (at the age of 64), at St. Andrew's, Holborn, Juliana, da. of ( — ) Vinnicombe. He d. s.p. legit., 10 Aug. 1839, at Lime Grove, Putney Hill, Surrey, and was bur. at Crowan, aged 81, when the Baronetcy became extinct. Will pr. March 1840. His widow d. at Lime Grove aforesaid, 14 June 1856, aged 87. Will pr. Dec. 1856.
