Sir Morgan George Crofton, 6th Baronet

• Gained the rank of Lieutenant in the service of the Irish Guards
• Fought in the Boer War between 1899 and 1902, where he was severely wounded
• Succeeded to the title of 6th Baronet Crofton, of Mohill Caslte, co. Leitrim [U.K., 1801] on 4 February 1902

• Fought in the First World War, in France, Italy and East Africa, and was mentioned in despatches twice
• Was Provost Marshal of the East African Expeditionary Force
• Was with the HQ staff of General Smuts in 1917
• Gained the rank of Major in 1918 in the service of the Guards Machine Gun Regiment
• Was decorated with the award of the Order of Leopold of Belgium
• Was decorated with the award of the Legion of Honour
• Was decorated with the award of the Companion, Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1918
• Gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the service of the 2nd Life Guards
• Was Colonel Commandant of the Staff of the Military Advisor to Northern Ireland in 1922
• Held the office of Member of the Hampshire County Council between 1922 and 1931
• Held the office of High Sheriff of Hampshire in 1925
