About Sir Robert Bacon, 3rd Bt of Redgrave, MP
Note: the claim in the following biography that he was MP for St Ives in 1621-22 is false. That Robert Bacon was a distant cousin.

Sir Robert Bacon, 3rd Bt. was born after 1570.1 He was the son of Sir Nicholas Bacon, 1st Bt. and Anne Butts.1,2 He married, firstly, Ann Peyton, daughter of Sir John Peyton, 1st Bt. and Alice Osborne, before 1640.1 He married, secondly, Katherine (?) after 1640.1 He died circa December 1655.1 He was buried on 16 December 1655 at Ryburgh, Norfolk, England.1
Sir Robert Bacon, 3rd Bt. held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for St. Ives from 1621 to 1622.1 He succeeded to the title of 3rd Baronet Bacon, of Redgrave, co. Suffolk [E., 1611] on 10 April 1649, and "of Ryburgh, Norfolk."1

From the book "Baronetage of England," printed for John Stockdale, published 1860: Sir Robert married Anne, daughter of Sir John Peyton, Knight and Baronet. They had 9 sons - Edmund, Nathaniel, Henry, Francis and Drury, who all died young, NIcholas, Robert, who died in his father's lifetime, in 1652, and Edmund, who succeeded him, and Butts, who married Dorothy , daughter and co-heir of Sir John Tracey, Knight. Butts Bacon had a son Robert Peyton Bacon, who married Elizabeth , daughter of Charles Suckling, Esq.
