Biographical Summary

"(262) Sir Robert Moray of Abercairny, born 1636; died April 1704. He was served heir to his father and grandfather 28th October 1652. He married Anne, daughter of Patrick Graham of Inchbraikie, and had issue :

• William (No. 263 below).
• Robert Moray of Abernyte. Will recorded 21st August 1735 (Dunkeld). He married, 3rd December 1702, Janet, daughter of John Murray of Polmaise (No. 238), and had three sons, who died s.p.
• Colonel John Moray, died unmarried 1710.
• James Moray, died young.
• Maurice Moray, died unmarried.

ARMS according to Nisbet. - Azure, a chevron between three stars argent. CREST : A mullet or. MOTTO : " Sans tache."
