Sir Robert de Ferrers, 6th Earl Derby was born in 1239 at of Tutbury, Staffordshire, England; Of age in 1260.2 A contract for the marriage of Sir Robert de Ferrers, 6th Earl Derby and Mary de Lusignan was signed on 26 July 1249 at Westminster Abbey, London, Middlesex, England; They had no surviving issue.2 Sir Robert de Ferrers, 6th Earl Derby married Alianore de Bohun, daughter of Sir Humphrey VI de Bohun and Eleanor de Braiose, on 26 June 1269.

And that Sir Robert and Alianore were the parents of Sir John de Ferrers, the first Lord Ferrers of Chartley.
