Biographical Summary
"Thomas Murray, of Glendoick, co, Perth, 2d s. of Sir Thomas Murray, of Woodend in that county, sometime Sheriff thereof (d. 1606), was admitted an Advocate, 1661 ; had charter of the Barony of Glendoick, 2 Feb. 1672 ; was a Lord of Session, 18 May 1674, and was cr. a Baronet [S.], as above, 2 July 1676, with rem. to heirs male of the body; was Lord Clerk Register, 1 Nov. 1677, but was deprived of all office in 1680. He m. Barbara, 1st da. and coheir of the Rev. Thomas Hepburn, of Blackcastle, Minister of Oldhamstocks. He d. 1684."
