Sir William Latimer, 3rd Lord Latimer, son of William le Latimer and Lucy de Thwenge, was born circa 1301 at of Scampston & Danby, Helpringham, & Thornton in Pickering Lythe, Yorkshire, England; Age 26 in 1327.2,10

He married Elizabeth Botetourt, daughter of Sir John Botetourt, 1st Lord Botetourt, Admiral of the North Fleet, Constable of St. Briavels Castle, Governor of Framlingham Castle and Maud FitzThomas, circa 1323;

3rd Lord Latimer. Of Scampston and Danby, Helpringham and Thorton in Pickering Lythe, Yorkshire, Bozeat, Corby and Sutton, Northamptonshire of Gameslby and Unthank, Cumberland.

Son of Sir William le Latimer and Lucy Thwang. Grandson of William Latimer, the 1st Baron Latimer of Corby, Alice Ledet and Sir Richard Thwang.

Husband of Elizabeth Botetourt, the daughter of Sir John Botetourt and Maud FitzThomas. They had one son, Sir William, 1329-1381 who married Elizabeth de Arundel.

Elizabeth's mother enfeoffed the couple her share of the barony of Bedford on 12 Nov 1328.

William Latimer died shortly before 02 Nov 1335, but still unburied on 10 Dec 1335.

Elizabeth would marry again to Sir Ralph de Ufford.
