GAERLAN, SIXTO
Farmer and Businessman. Born on April 2, 1896, in San Juan, La Union, and son of Pedro Gaerlan and Clara Aquino, her studied in the primary school of his home town and later graduated from the La Union Provincial High School in 1918. Mr. Gaerlan enrolled in the College of Agriculture of the University of the Philippines where he received the degree of Bachelor of Science in Agriculture in 1925. He was intermediate school teacher from 1918 to 1920, high school instructor from 1925 to 1933, city councilor from 1929 to 1931, and Delegate to the Constitutional Convention in 1934.

GAERLAN, Sixto A. - Agriculturist; Member, City Council of Baguio; res. Baguio, Benguet, Mt. Province.
Born in San Juan, La Union, on April 2, 1896; son of Pedro Gaerlan and Clara Aquino; married to the former Miss Matilde Cabañero of Narvacan, Ilocos Sur, by whom he has three children: Maria Teresa, Hilario Jesus, and Mercedes Clara; graduated from the La Union High School in 1918, and the College of Agriculture, Los Baños, Laguna, in 1925; was an Intermediate School teacher from 1918 to 1920; high school teacher from 1925 to 1933; delegate to the Constitutional Convention from the district of Baguio in 1934. He is now a member of the City Council of Baguio. A Roman Catholic by religion.
