About Solomon Tharp
Solomon Tharp was one of six children of Nathan and Sara Tharp. He was named for his grandfather, Solomon Tharp, a Revolutionary War Soldier. He married Lorana Loomis from New York and they had one son Harlan. He died at the very young age of 35, only two years after he married. Seven years later, his wife remarried a man named Joseph H. Burnes who became a step-father to his son Harlan.
