Susie was born oct 29,1872 in Clayton co, Iowa to Tollef & Ingeborg (Blinsmon)Pederson. Her real name was Soneve. She moved to Moody county, South Dakota in 1876 with her parents and siblings. She had a lot of pep and dared to try new things. She was the first of the ladies in the community to own and ride a bicycle. At one time she went west of the river and tried to homestead, but soon gave that up. She was a good seamstress and earned her living that way for a time. She kept up her sewing until her eyesight became poor.
