funeral for Sophie Swenson, 91, of Rugby, formerly of Harlow, will be held Wed. at 2 p.m. at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Harlow. Interment will be in the church cemetery. She died Aug. 20, 1997 at the Heart of America Medical Center in Rugby. Rev. Richard Budd will officiate. Alice Knutson will be organist. Pallbearers will be Gilman Gunderson, Ward Alveshere, Bernard Meyer, Harold Fragodt, Magnus Lysne & Loren Knutson. The Nelson Funeral Home of Leeds is in charge of arrangements. Sophie Swenson was born May 14, 1906 in Butte Valley township of Benson County near Harlow to Elling & Liv Larson Swenson. She was educated at the Washington School in Butte Valley Township. She lived & worked at home until moving to Maddock in 1983. She moved to the Long Term Care Unit of the Heart of America Medical Center in Rugby in 1984.  She was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church & its ladies aid of Harlow. Survivors include 2 brothers, Lars & Ingvold of Leeds; 3 sisters, Signe Ness of Devils Lake, Jorgine Leholm of Tioga & Ella Diesen of Kalispell, Mont. She was preceded in death by a brother, Swen Swenson; & 2 sisters, Lillie aabrekke & Olga Munson.
