"Col. St. Leger Codd 1635, admitted Grays Inn May 1, 1656, emigrated to Virginia by 1670, removed to Cecil Co. Maryland, died 1706. He married 1st Anne (Mottrom) Wright Fox, 2nd Anne (Bennett) Bland. She died in November 1687 at Wharton’s Creek, Kent County, Maryland. He m. 3rd Anne (Hynson) Randall Wickes. Colonel St. Leger Codd left a will dated 7 November 1706 and proved in Maryland on 9 February 1707/8, and in Lancaster, Virginia, on 8 April 1708."

Son of William Codd and Mary St. Leger.

  2. 2nd marriage to Ann (Bennett) Bland
  3. 3rd marriage to Ann (Hyson) [Randall] Wickes. Assumes Codd married by next year after Anne Bennett's death in 1687.

"Col. St. Ledger Codd, born in England 1635 died in Maryland Nov. 7, 1706; came to Virginia prior to 1670; a member of the House of Burgess & Maryland legislature for Cecil Co. He married (2) Ann Bennett, widow of Theodrick land, and daughter of Colonial Governor Richard Bennett and his wife Ann Utie the daughter of John Utie who had a plantation on the James River 1622. Capt. St. Leger Codd only child of above marriage born 1676, died abt. 1731; married Mary Hanon daugher of Col. Hans Hanson."

TAYLOR STOUT

Gamaliel Taylor was born in Ottumwa, Iowa on October 13, 1845. He was married November 26, 1874, to Laura Caroline Wright. Gamaliel Taylor was the son of Eber Taylor, born in New York State September 6,1811, died in Junction City, Oregon, July 20,1861 and Clarissa Stout. They were married in Iowa on April 4, 1841.

Clarissa Stout was the daughter of John Stout who was born in West Virginia on December 21, 1795, died in Ottumwa, Iowa, on may 6, 1858, married in Randolph County, West Virginia, 1815 to Mary Barbara Castner (Kestner- Kessner) who was born in West Virginia June 28, 1799, died at Albia, Iowa on May 20, 1876.

John Stout was the son of St. Ledger Stout who was born in Amwell Township, Hunterdon County, New Jersey, died in Beverly, West Virginia, 1806 and Anna Barcalo (Buckalow) born in New Jersey, died in West Virginia after 1806.

St. Leger Stout was the son of St. Leger Codd Stout who was born in Hunterdon County, New

Jersey, 1736, died in New Jersey and married in New Jersey to Susannah who died in 1770.

St. Leger Codd Stout was the son of James Stout who was born in New Jersey, married between April 28, 1731-1733 to Lady Mary Ann Codd, who was born in Maryland, the daughter of Captain St. Leger Codd, who was born in Northumberland County, Virginia, about 1676, died about 1731, married in Virginia to Mary Hansen.

Captain St.Leger Codd was the son of Col. St. Leger Codd, who was born in Virginia, died in Maryland 1707, married in Virginia to Anna (Bennett) Bland, widow of Governor Bland and daughter of Governor Richard Bennett of Virginia, who married Mary Ann Utie, "daughter" (widow) of Captain John Utie.

Col. St. Leger Codd was the son of William Codd, born in England, died in Ulcombe, Kent, England, 1653, married in England to Mary St. Leger.
