Starling Toliver, son of Jesse TOLIVER & Frances "Franky" STAMPER, was born Mar. 13, 1806, in Ashe Co., NC, and died bet. 1870-1880 in Alleghany Co., NC. Starling Toliver was the second-youngest son of Jesse and Franky (Stamper) Toliver. His birthdate, March 13, 1806, is recorded in the Jesse Toliver family Bible. Starling lived in the Glade Creek Township of Alleghany County, NC. According to land records, he owned several parcels of land on Glade Creek, Brush Creek, the Little River, and Little Pine Creek.
