Hiram Toliver was born on March 10, 1808. He died on Dec. 27, 1895 in Wyoming County, West Virginia. He married first Nancy Ellen Jones on Sept. 15, 1831, in Ashe County, North Carolina. She was born in 1810 in North Carolina. She died in 1889. He married second Phoebe "Feby" Barton on Oct. 23, 1873, in Alleghany County, North Carolina, daughter of John B. Barton. Elizabeth Pennington. She was born on May 2, 1814, in Grayson County, Virginia, and died on Aug. 20, 1901.
