Stefanus 'Fanie' Schoeman (1932 - 2006)

Fanie (74), and his wife, Christina also 74, were attacked on their farm Rietpoort, in Paul Roux, Free State, on 4th October 2006. Fanie was tied up with wire in the garage, and strangled to death. Christina, was badly assaulted and admitted to the Bethlehem Medi-Clinic at the time, police spokesperson Constable Mmako Mophiring said.

An unknown number of suspects were involved, but Mophiring said that police are investigating cases of murder and attempted murder. "It will be appreciated if the community of Paul Roux and surrounding area can forward the information to the investigating officer, Detective Inspector Phillip Nel of the Bethlehem serious and violent crime unit."
