About Stella Newton
STELLA NEWTON, 88, formerly of Somerville, died Wednesday, June 11, at Wellington Manor Nursing Home in Fairfield. Born Dec. 17, 1908, in Lee County, Ky., she was the daughter of John and Sarilda McKinney. She was a lifetime member of Somerville Pentecostal Church.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Chester and Leona Carol Newton, Cleven and Angie Newton, all of Somerville; a daughter and son-in-law, Mafrey and William Gault of Frost Proof, Fla.; a daughter-in-law, Mary Ann Newton of Somerville; 22 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and 15 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Carl Newton Sr.; 10 brothers and sisters.
Funeral services were Saturday, June 14, at R.C. Nein and Sons Funeral Home, Camden, with the Rev. Cecil Wagers officiating. Burial was in Somerville Cemetery.
