Subhadra Bai MadhavaRao

Our beloved Ayee (mother) was the most accomplished woman I have known! She was an avid gardner (competing and winning prizes at Bangalore's famous Lalbagh Flower Shows), a beekeeper, breeder of cows, an animal lover, (dog and cat), bird enthusiast (budgerigars or love birds),a linguist, an expert maker of delicious jams, jelly's, fruit juices and pickles, a fantastic cook and a widely traveled person. In addition to all this, she participated in her children's activities and encouraged them to be independent and develop their own character. She was truly the most unforgettable character I have ever met in my life!
