Susan Marie Bartelt

Friday evening, Mrs. Joseph Messamer received a call saying that her sister, Mrs. Harold Bartelt, of Grimes had passed away suddenly while caring for some flowers. She had not been well for some time but death was unexpected. Memorial services were held Monday morning at 11 o'clock at Brandt Funeral Home in Dallas Center with interment beside her husband in the Church of the Brethren Cemetery. Mr. Bartelt passed away recently and was buried March 17 of this year. She leaves her family of one son, Robert of Des Moines, three daughters, Deloris (Mrs. Lowell Hall) of Des Moines, and Carol and Mary at home. Also three sisters, Mrs. Joseph Messamer of Redfield, Mrs. Roy Givler of Dallas Center and Mrs. Clifford Grief also of Dallas Center, and one brother, David Zuck of Alexandria, Louisiana. Memorial services were held Monday at 11 a.m. at the Brandt Funeral home in Dallas Center for Mrs. Harold (Marie) Bartelt, 61. Mrs. Bartelt was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Zuck.
