  • On 06/02/2017 the Kotze family farm was hit again. 57-year-old Pieter Hendrik Pieterse, who was renting a home and some grazing land for his sheep, was brutally murdered
  • On 20/09/2017, 55-year-old Dr Werner Emslie and his wife Dr Mariette Emslie, also 55, were sitting outside their house on their farm, close to Ms Kotze’s property, when four men attacked with pistols and machetes.
  • Ms Kotze’s elderly neighbours, 89-year-old JJ “Poem” Lamprecht and his wife, 76-year-old Kotie Lamprecht, were attacked on the evening of 29/10/2017

  • The bail application of a man accused of killing a woman (76), was postponed to 2 February for a bail application in the local Magistrate's Court. Phillip Kgoantha (22), faces charges of murder and theft after he allegedly killed his employer Susan Kotze.
