Susan Pawis

Mrs. Susan Pawis, (nee Megis), is #969 in the 1907 Wooster Roll. Her traditional name is Pashkwaban meaning "Clear daylight" but that translation requires scruting and comment by those with expertise in Anishinaabemowin and Potawatomi culture. She had no children as of 1907. Her grandfather was Peshigob. In 1907 she was living with her husband Sylvester Pawis #968 at Shawanaga, Ontario where she held full rights in Canada.
