Henry Kingsbury, of Haverhill, Massachusetts, and his descendants, who was at Ipswich in 1638, according to Felt's History, who married Susanna, who died Feb. 21, 1678/9, in Haverhill; he died Oct. 1, 1687, in Haverhill. Among his children:

VIII. Susanna: married Jan. 29, 1661/2, Joseph Pike, of Newbury, b. 1638, son of Capt. John and Mary Pike. He was representative and deputy sheriff; killed by the Indians, Sept. 4, 1694, in Amesbury, on the way to Haverhill. His widow, Susanna, was living when the estate was distributed in 1699. Children:

  • 1. Sarah, b. Oct. 12, 1666; married Feb. 4, 1685/6, at Newbury, Anthony Morse, son of Anthony and Elizabeth (Knight) Morse, of Salisbury.
  • 2. John, b. Sept. 1, 1668, died Sept. 29, 1668.
  • 3. Mary, b. April 17 or 30, 1670, died unmarried in 1705.
  • 4. John, b. Dec. 28, 1671, probably married Mar. 18, 1694/5, Lydia, widow of Moses Little and daughter of Tristram Coffin; admitted to Newbury Church 1697.
  • 5. Joseph, b. Apr. 17, 1674, married December 1695 Hannah Smith;
    • his son, Rev. James Pike, b. Mar. 1, 1703, Harvard College 1725, was the first minister of Somersworth, NH; married Aug. 26, 1730, Sarah, daughter of Nicholas Gilman, of Exeter, died there, Mar. 19, 1792.
      • His son, Nicolas Pike, published in 1788 a "New and Complete System of Arithmetick", composed for the use of citizens of the United States.
  • 6. Benjamin, b. Sept. 21, 1676, living 1699.
  • 7. Hannah, b. Mar. 24, 1678/9, probably married 1701, Joseph Ilsley, Jr.
  • 8. Thomas, b. Aug. 4, 1681, living 1699.
