About Susanna Baldwin

Susanna Baldwin (Sherman)

Find A Grave Memorial ID # 177558307

She was the daughter of the Rev. Josiah Sherman (1729-1789) and Martha Minot (daughter of of the Hon. James Minot of Concord, by his 2nd wife, Elizabeth Merrick of Brookfield, Massachusetts).

She was also the sister of Roger Minott Sherman, Chief Justice of Connecticut, and the niece of American founding father Roger Sherman, the only America to place his signature on all of the Great Founding Papers of America.

NOTE: America's Great Founding Papers: the Petition to the King, the Continental Association, the Declaration of Independence, the Articles of Confederation and the United States Constitution.

Most likely buried in Mount Avon Cemetery, Rochester, Oakland County, Michigan, next to her husband Nathaniel Baldwin.

Note: It's possible Nathaniel and Susanna were buried on their farm, two miles south of the village of Rochester and later moved to Mount Avon Cemetery. There's no headstone at Mount Avon for Susanna.

Children of Nathaniel Baldwin and Susanna Sherman:

(Possibly three other children as well, viz., Sherman Baldwin, Minot Baldwin, Zimri Baldwin).
