About Susanna Caterina Berkheimer
Emigrated 11 AUG 1732 On ship SAMUEL with brother Hans
We do not know the birthdate of Andrew's first wife, Susanna Catharina Bergheimer (Berkheimer). Nor do we know her maiden name. It is believed she is the adopted daughter of Andreas Bauman.
Susanna arrived in Philadelphia with her brother Hans Wilhelm Berkheimer and his family on the ship "Samuel" on August 11, 1732.
Less then one year later on July 1, 1733 she was married to Andrew Bayer.
During the next 11 years, she and Andrew had 6 children together before she passed away on August 13, 1744. Her death is recorded in the family data found in the Old Goshenhoppen Luthearn records.
