About Susanna Newbury

Thank you for the book [Jeanette Ames Rice (Sergeant), Tales That Have the Rime of Age. 1883.]. I tried to read it online but will print it to enjoy the details. My relationship to Samuel Newbury is his sister Susannah born 1818 in NY. I have found Susanna in Cuyahoga County around 1835 where she and her husband to be applied to be married. I believe they may have lived with Susanna's parents and brother John because I do not find the couple in any census as head of a household until 1850. At that time I have John and his parents in a census in Indiana and Susanna in southern Illinois. Do you have census for Samuel's family documenting where they were in 1820, 30 and 40?
I find the correspondence amazing between the Newbury family members. I knew Susanna had a sister Opra [sic, referring to Orpha]. Susannah had her name and address in NY in her possession. I have made a time line tracing all Sam's children trying to find where my Susanna met her husband to be. He was a master builder and was known for his beautiful homes he built in southern Illinois. John was a brick mason so maybe he introduced them. I have information on Newbury School in Toledo which was on land donated from Ophra [sic, referring to Orpha] Newbury Stebbins estate. Did the Newbury's have any family in Potsdam, NY where I believe Orpha's husband may have been from? Can't wait to hear from you again.
