Having served in the Revolutionary war, as captain in 1776, William removed to Sanbornton in 1780. He took up the farm now owned by Harrison White. He died there Sept 28, 1807, age 79. He also bore the title of "Major".

William4, (Samuel3, James2, James1) married Susanna Sanborn who was born April 18, 1728, daughter of Joseph, on Nov 22, 1750. They first settled at Hampton Falls where all their children were born. Having served in the Revolutionary war, as captain in 1776, William removed to Sanbornton in 1780. He took up the farm now owned by Harrison White. He died there Sept 28, 1807, age 79. He also bore the title of "Major". His wife died March 28, 1800 in her 72d year. Sources
