MEMORIAL PHOTOS 0 FLOWERS 0 Susannah Parker, daughter of Nathaniel Parker (1724-1811) was born abt. 1764 in Hampshire Co., VA. (now Mineral Co., W.V.). About 1784 she married Charles Beeler, whose 1st wife Sarah Colston had died. Sarah Colston's father John Colston of Hampshire Co., VA. wrote his will on 10 Aug 1781 (probated 15 Apr. 1784) Hampshire Co. VA. with bequeaths to his son-in-law Charles Beeler and grandson John Beeler.

Her 1st cousin Ohio State Supreme Court Justice Thomas Scott on the occasion of his 79th birth wrote a letter to his children outlining their ancestry. On page 9 of the letter he wrote:

My father's sister Elizabeth (Scott), intermarried with Mr. Nathaniel Parker. He owned a beautiful well-kept cultivated farm and mills, two or three miles above the town of Frankfort on Patterson's creek, in Hampshire County, Virginia. He was a man of more than ordinary industry, economy and enterprise, and owned considerable wealth. My aunt had three daughters and seven sons by him, namely, Susannah, Elizabeth and Polly, John, Thomas, Richard, Aaron, Robert, Isaac and Nathaniel. Susannah (Parker) intermarried with Charles Beeler. More than sixty years since they removed and settled at Mann's Lick a few miles from Louisville Kentucky. They had several children, but are both now deceased. Neither the names nor the places of their descendants are to me known. ......After the decease of my aunt, Mr. Parker with the residue of his sons and daughters, their families removed to the state of Tennessee, where he intermarried with the widow of Col. Bledsoe deceased, but report says they did not live happily together."

Beeler born 15 Jan 1781 Hampshire Co., VA.; died 18 Sep 1838 Jefferson Co., KY. with burial in the Gilmore Beeler Cemetery; married 1st. Elizabeth Thornberry 26 Jun 1804 Jefferson Co., KY.; 2nd Elizabeth Parker, daughter of Thomas and Susana (Rogers) Parker on 26 Sep. 1811 Sumner Co., TN.

The children of Charles and Susannah (Parker) Beeler were: 3. Nathaniel Beeler born ab.t 1785 Jefferson Co., KY.; married Eleanor Philips 28 Apr 1803 Jefferson Co., KY. 4. Charles D. Beeler born abt. 1787 Jefferson Co., KY.; married Mary Ann Stiles. 5. Thomas Preston Beeler born 25 Feb 1790 Jefferson Co., KY.; died 18 Apr 1825 Jefferson Co., KY.; married 4 Aug 1812 Sarah P. Floyd Jefferson Co., KY. 6. George Beeler born 4 Dec 1795 Jefferson Co., KY.; married Mary Ann Richardson 13 Jan. 1820 Jefferson Co., KY.; 2nd married Jane Helm.
