Suzie Viljoen (1923 - 2009)

Brief overview:

Suzie (86), a pensioner from Reivilo, outside Vryburg, who lived alone, was allegedly raped before she was murdered on 1st March 2009. Grandma Viljoen, as she was known, was found dead in her living room.

“She was lonely and terribly poor. God knows, she never did a fly damage,” said Mr. Gerhard Smit, a friend of Suzie's. Nothing was stolen as there was nothing to steal he added.

Another resident offered a R5,000 reward for any information that would lead to the culprits' successful arrest.

No one was ever arrested.

Suzie was buried on 14th March 2009.
