Michael Grauel, his wife Sybilla, their five sons and Sybilla's parents, Jacob Fulman and Anna Barbara (Siegfried) Fulman, emigrated from Germany on the ship "Harle", leaving from Rotterdam and landing at Philadelphia on September 1, 1736. The passenger list of this ship is published in "Pennsylvania German Pioneers, a Publication of the Original Lists of Arrivals in the Port of Philadelphia From 1727 to 1808", by Ralph Beaver Strassburger, pub. 1980. They show various spellings of the surname in various places: Michel Kraul, Jacob Vellmann, Sibila Elisabeth Kraul, Anna Barbara Vollman, Johan Michel Graul, Jacob Follman, Jacob Fellman.
Michael Grauel and Sybilla Fulman settled in Berks Co PA. Four of their five sons, George, Jacob, Phillip and Johannes married and lived all their lives in Berks Co. *
