About Sylvia Eva Weissenberg
Sylvia had two daughters Monique and Tanya who live in Sydney with their families. Sylvia grew up in Castlecrag, a unique suburb of Sydney on the North Shore. It was developed by Walter Burley Griffin who designed the city of Canberra with his wife Marion Mahoney. They were American architects who came to Australia after winning a design competition. They lived in Castlecrag and the houses were built of local sandstone.
Sylvia inherited her parents' modernist house in Castlecrag which they designed themselves built and after her death her daughter Monique and her family live there.
Sylvia worked as a physiotherapist and was active in Jewish women's charity and welfare groups in Sydney. She was married twice first to Ted (Theodore) Leibovitch a solicitor in 1972. Rabbi Brasch married them at Lindfield. The second marriage was by a celebrant at the Gunner's Barracks in Mosman in 2018. She married Patrick a market researcher.
