Beryl R. Fuller, 76, of Pierson died Tuesday, February 12, 2002, at his residence after an extended illness. Funeral services were held Friday, Februay 15, 2002, at the Meadow Star United Methodist Church, rural Washta, with Rev. Bill Cotton officiating. Burial followed in Grand Meadow Cemetery, rural Washta, under direction of Earnest-Michaelson Funeral Home of Kingsley. Beryl was born November 23, 1925, in Grand Meadow Twp., rural Washta, Iowa, the son of Earl and Emma (Baker) Fuller. He graduated from Grand Meadow High School in 1944. He served in the Army from 1944 until 1946. After his honorable discharge he worked in the Pierson area for Lloyd Nafe. He was later employed as a carpenter for the Pierson Lumber Company and then went into the construction business for himself. He married Joan Ruebel June 9, 1962. After their marriage they made their home in the Pierson area. Beryl was a member of the Meadow Star United Methodist church wherehe served on various committees and was Sunday school treasurer for many years. Survivors include his wife, Joan of Pierson, and one son, Robert Fuller and wife Nicolette of Johannesburg, South Africa. He was preceded by his parents, two brothers, Earl Fuller, Jr. and Marlin Fuller and two sisters, Verna Merlik and Oma Fuller.
