Looking for any information on Tobitha (Tabitha) Kee who married John G. Farmer in Grayson Co, Va. She was born in/about 1800 and was possibly married to Dudley Goins about 1816. I have read that she may have maried a William Kee and was widowed before her marriage to Duvdley Goins.

John Nelson - I may have discovered Tabitha Kee's father, but the info so far is shaky. The region (western VA/NC) is right, but the birth dates are a few years off. Even so, how many Tabitha Kee/McKee could there be in that remote area, c. 1800?
His name was Elijah William McKee born around 1780 (which would have made him around 20 when Tabitha was born) and died in 1809 in Grayson County, VA. Some sources say he had two other children, Tabitha's older brother William and her younger brother Arthur. William would have been about 16 when Elijah died, and would have become the man of the house, which might explain some rumors that Tabitha had an earlier husband named William McKee before her first recorded husband Dudley Goins and her final husband John G Farmer

There is a Burdine Farmer (1815-1880) that has a timeline before Farmer/Kee marriage and possbily is actually a Goins
