: Birth: :: Date: 1701:: Place: Middletown-Aston, Pennsylvania<ref>Source: #S414 Page:p. 467</ref> In "History of Chester County, Pennsylvania" (Futhey and Cope, 1881), it says that after his marriage to Ann Short, Joel Bailey resided on land "partly in Middletown and partly in Aston, but in 1704-5 he removed to Marlborough, settling first in the eastern part of what is now East Marlborough, and later in West Marlborough, where he died in 1732."Therefore, Joel and Ann's children, who were born before 1704, were born in the Middletown-Aston area of Pennsylvania, which was part of Chester County then, but is in Delaware County now. (Delaware County wascreated in September 1789 from part of Chester County.)
