About Thomas Bray, II, of Gloucester


Thomas, the son of Thomas and Mary Bray, was born December 19, 1658.[1][2][3]. Thomas Bray died in 1743. [4]

Family

The marriage record of Mary Emerson to Thomas Bray 23 Dec 1686, appears in Image 59, of "A Record of the Births, Marriages and Deaths in the Town of Ipswich," the image of which is on Ancestry.[1] These were collected form the Essex County Records, 1635 to 1657, and also from the church and parish records of the several parishes in said town, and hereby entered into the Town Records. These were copied under the direction of the Selectmen of the Town of Ipswich: Luther Wait, Frederic Willcomb, and N. (?) Lord, in accordance with the vote of said town.

The Massachusetts, Town Vital Collections, 1620-1988 lists the birth date of Mary Emerson as 7 Mar 1664. It also lists her parents as John Emerson and Ruth.
