7. THOMAS, son of Henry and Mildred B. Buford, married Elizabeth Pierce, of Lincoln County, Kentucky.

Thomas, Sr., went to Kentucky, married, and, in 1798, lived on a farm adjoining his father-inlaw, in Lincoln County. He returned to Virginia, sold out in Kentucky, and moved to Overton County, Tennessee. In November, 1814, he was called out with his company to protect the station against the Indians. During the expedition he was taken ill, and died on his way home, December 31, 1814, his son Henry being with him.
