On 7 July 1631 Thomas, married Anne Harding, daughter of John Harding and Mary Green, in St. Andrew's Church, Boreham, Essex, England. Thomas Buttolph and Anne Harding emigrated on 4 May 1635 from London, England, on board the Abigail, Capt. Hackwell, master, Anne's aged being listed as 24 years on the manifest and Thomas' as 32 years. Thomas Buttolph joined the church on 22 September 1639 in First Church, Boston, Suffolk County, Massachusetts; The date was recorded as 22 July 1639. He became a freeman on 2 June 1641 in Boston, Suffolk County, Massachusetts. He was a leather dresser and glover in Boston. He served in 1647 in Boston, Suffolk County, Massachusetts, as a Constable. He died about May 1667 in Boston, Suffolk County, Massachusetts. He left a will on 25 May 1667 in Boston, Suffolk County, Massachusetts. The date on his will was 25 March 1667. His estate was probated on 18 June 1667 in Boston, Suffolk County, Massachusetts.

Thomas Buttolph was born 1603 in Buttolph, Sussex, ENGLAND, and died 1667. He married ANN HARDING July 07, 1631 in Boreham, Essex, ENGLAND; St Andrews Parish Church. She was born Abt. June 1610 in Litttle Baddow, Essex, ENGLAND, and died October 10, 1680 in Boston, Suffolk County, MA.

Notes for Thomas Buttolph: The family came to America in 1632 landing at Boston Harbor. They came on the ship Abigail. Thomas was a Leather-dresser.

Notes for Ann Harding: Per the "Abraham Harding Family Book" by Glen F. Harding, M.D.: Anne was the daughter of John Harding(e) and Marie Greene. John Harding(e) was the owner of the Ingatestone Manor property in Essex, England and was an Upper Middleclass Yeoman. John Harding(e) and Marie Greene were married on 26 Jun 1600.

Anne emigrated to America with her husband Thomas on 4 May 1635 from London on the ship "Abigail". Anne's age on the manifest was 24, while Thomas was listed as 32.

Anne's brother, Abraham Harding, is the subject of the book mentioned above.

according to my grandmother's notes, he came to New England on the ship Abigail in May of 1635 at the age of 32. Settled in Boston Mass. Glover and leather dresser by trade. Freemason in 1641 and constable in 1647. I recorded her references on Penelope Buttolph's profile. I apologize for not being meticulous.
