Biography

Thomas Chase III was born 20 November 1700 to Deacon Thomas Chase and Sarah Stevens Chase in Newbury, Massachusetts: "CHASE. "Thomas, s. Thomas, jr. and Sarah, Nov. 20, 1700." [1]

Thomas married twice in Newbury: first, to Mary Mooers/Moors 3 September 1724; and second, to Emma Kent, 24 November 1726. [2]

Thomas and Emma Chase were the parents of Mary, Abel, Thomas, Somersby, Thomas, Abel, Josiah, Emma and Mary Chase. They lost three of their sons - Abel, Thomas, and Somersby - in a few days in August 1736.

Thomas Chase died 14 Oct 1765 in his 65th year in Newbury MA. [3] He and his wives are buried in Walnut Hill Cemetery, West Newbury, Essex County, Massachusetts. [4]
