About Thomas Cushman, Jr.
Descendant of Mayflower passengers Isaac Allerton and Mary (Norris Allerton)
Son of "Fortune" passenger Elder Thomas Cushman and "Mayflower" passenger Mary Allerton.
Thomas first married on Nov 17, 1664 at the age of 27. His bride, Ruth Howland was the daughter of John and Elizabeth Tilley Howland, Both of whom came to America aboard the Mayflower, Thomas and Ruth Howland Cushman had 3 children: Robert (1665), Desire (1668) and Thomas III (1670).
After the death of Ruth, he married Abigail Titus Fuller, the widow of John Fuller, on Oct 16, 1679. Their children were Job (1680), Bartholomew (1684), Samuel (1687) and Benjamin Cushman (1691).
Old Burial Grounds is also known as Hillcrest Cemetery and is located on Main Street; Plympton, Plymouth Co., MA.
The will of Thomas Cushman Sr. of Plimouth dated 22 Oct. 1690, sworn 16 March 1691/2, names wife Mary Cushman; sons Thomas, Isaac, Elkanah and Eleazer Cushman; daus. Sarah Hoaks and Lidiah Harlow; the three grandchildren in Lin (Lynn), the children of daughter Mary Hutchinson, dec.
