"Thomas Tudor Duncan, born 24th June 1776, son of George D. min of Lochrutton ; studied both divinity and medicine; M.D. (Edinburgh, Oct. 1803) ; licen. by Presb. of Annan 8th June 1803; ord. to Applegarth 12th April 1804; pres. by George III. 25th Feb., trans, and adm. 27th Nov. 1806 ; died 20th Feb. 1858. He marr. 24th June 1807, Frances (born 7th Nov. 1780, died 28th Sept. 1837), daugh. of Joseph Brooks of Ulverstone, merchant, Liverpool, and had issue — Joseph Rogers, min. of Torthorwald ; George Henry, born 28th June 1813, died 29th Dec. 1813; Thomas Blacklock, born 25th Jan. 1817; William Robert, for forty-six years curate of the parish of Liverpool, born 22nd May 1820, died 11th Feb. 1898."
