Thomas Gilderdale

In the marriage record, Thomas's birth is given as 1713 - the same year as Mary. So it is possible that this is a different Thomas and not Anthony's son. However people were not always very specific about their ages, so it is not impossible either. It is interesting that this marriage happens a year after Simon Gilderdale's marriage in Borthwick to Elizabeth Kirkby (another older couple). If Simon and Thomas were cousins, and Thomas attended the wedding, it might explain how Thomas and Elizabeth met.
