Tom A. Guthrie, 76, died at home, 1223 1st SW, Sunday about 5:00 p.m.

Funeral services were set for 4:00 p.m. Monday at Brown-Roden Funeral Home, conducted by the Rev. Douglas B. MacCorkle of First Congregational Church, with interment in Evergreen Cemetery.

Thomas was the son of the late Mr. & Mrs. W.H. Guthrie and had lived most of his life in Paris. He had been employed at the Farmers and Merchants Compress and Warehouse Company as a 'nightwatchman' until his health failed.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Carrie Eberline Guthrie in 1928.

Survivors are his wife, Ida Clara Eberline Roth Guthrie; and a stepdaughter, Mrs. Nina Marguerite (Odis Glenn) Dickerson of Paris; three grandchildren.

Pallbears were Dennis Dickerson, Odis Dickerson, Robert Farlow, G.S. Richardson, Eugene Richardson and Craft Graves.
