Thomas Jordan, The Elder

Little is known about Thomas Jordan due to a courthouse fire which destroyed all records. It is believed that he lived in Warren County, North Carolina, before moving to Tennessee. In about 1799, all of his children left thier home in Mount Airy, Tennessee, for the lure of better living in Illinois. They were accompanied by most of thier family and some friends.
