Thomas Moodie

Thomas Moodie was captured at the same time as General Cronje after the Battle of Paardeburg on 27 Feb 1900 and sent to St Helena (Deadwood Camp) on the ship Milwaukee. http://www.wmbr.org.za/view.asp?pg=research&pgsub=databases&head1=Search

He was one of the14 general staff associated with the General and would have also been a member of the "Staats Artillerie" which was the name for the regular army of the republic. Mostly the Boers were organised as commandos drawn from the public/districts. The Staats Artillerie were permanent forces of the state.
