About Thomas Robins, of "Peach Blossom"
Thomas Robins (1672-1721) was the son of George Robins, Gent. and Margaret Howes
Not to be confused with Thomas Robins, of Chincoteague who married Elizabeth Bowdoin
origins
He is not a direct descendant of Obedience Robins, but may be a collateral relative at several generations' remove. This Robins family originates from Banbury, Oxfordshire, which is about a day's foot journey (~25 miles) from Long Buckby, Northamptonshire (origin of the Obedience Robinses).
comments
Thomas Robins (1672-1721) and Thomas Robins (1640-1700) were contemporaries in Talbot County. The former was referred to as "junior" to distinguish him from the latter, who was called "senior." Their kinship is assumed by local historians, but consensus on the degree of relationship is lacking.
