Thomas Stiles

From Henry Reed Stiles, page 743 (errata et addenda):

"Thomas Stiles, (Long Jonathan, Isaac, John) born at Morris Plains, NJ; married, probably 1765, Abigail Odgen, daughter of David Ogden, member of the Assembly of New Jersey, and his wife Ann Burwell. She was baptized Sept. 16, 1745. Thomas died young; his widow married (2) Enoch Goble, and lived but a short time; after her death Goble married, March 12, 1758, Mary Cooper who brought up John and James Stiles, and doubtless they never knew any other mother, and cherished her an affectionate remembrance, for John named a son William Cooper, and James [Family 22] named a daughter Mary Cooper, after her. Enoch Goble died Dec. 2, 1823."

Note: Henry Reed Stiles p. 743 says "married, probably 1765" but his children James and David were born before then.
